Luisgé Martín has a degree in Hispanic Philology from the Complutense University of Madrid and an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa. Among his books, the novels La dulce ira (1995), The death of Tadzio (2000), Los amores confiados (2005), Las manos cortadas (2009), El amor del revés, an autobiography where he recounts his discovery and subsequent acceptance of his homosexuality, and One Hundred Nights (2020), a novel awarded with the Herralde Prize. He is currently director of the Instituto Cervantes in Los Angeles, California.
