José María Caballero was a Spanish economist who worked in Peru on issues of agriculture and economic development. He was also a Professor and researcher at the Department of Economics at PUCP , in the 70's and 80's. Prof. Caballero contributed significantly to the PUCP, with his teaching activity and his academic production reflected in various publications and participation in public events in Peru and abroad. Subsequently, he became an international civil servant, until his death.
