The present investigation has been elaborated in order to demonstrate that in the novel El Tungsteno by César Vallejo, a work of clearly regionalist, realist and socialist influence; The topic of violence can not only be analyzed at the content level, but also at the aesthetic level. On the one hand, the resources that configure an aesthetic of the grotesque in these novels are analyzed, mainly from the studies of Bakhtin and Kayser. On the other hand, the allegorical level of the novel is explored, reviewing the roles that the characters and actions represent within the universe of the work and in relation to the author's ideology, both in its denunciatory aspect and with the vindicatory spirit embodied in the revolution.
