Tatiana de la tierra wanted to create a lesbian paradise: radical, pleasant, rampant, smelly and strident. In her writing, physical desire is also the desire to name oneself. She passes it through her tongue and, thus, she turns her into "the mother of all languages / keeper of tongues". To this language, which she makes and says, she announces: "we tongue you today", which is a way of taking it with desire. We had not read this playful desire in Colombia. Not like that, in irreverent and cuir lower case. Not so, unbalancing the poem towards the "lesbian obscene": the desire for the "unpleasant" woman, she tomboyish, huge as a drum, with a beard, far, far away from the stereotypical male desire. Among fag circles, Tatiana was a myth. Now, it is a joy for us to finally find it printed, in its most complete, multilingual edition and circulating in its country of origin. What freshness, what joy. Colombian literature needed her lesbian godmother.
