"Miradas a la Cultura del Libro en Puebla" offers the first general overview of the book world in Puebla of the colonial period, rehearsing an overall look at various aspects of an ancient reality, aspects that frequently functioned in an intertwined manner. This book had the generous collaboration of thirteen historians, librarians, and those in charge of ancient collections, designers, restorers, and art historians, from various Mexican and foreign institutions, who with their contributions, mild at the same time rigorous, will allow us to obtain a general image of the world of Puebla books.
The work is organized in two parts: the first dedicated to the background of written culture in Puebla, the libraries and the Puebla bibliographical heritage, that is to say, to the preservation of memory, and the second to the work of typographers, engravers and booksellers of said city, that is to say, to the world of angelopolitan editorial production.
