This research analyzes the history of the Maximato in southeastern Mexico. After the assassination of Obregón and under the rule of Calles -during the government of García Correa- the economy of southeastern Mexico collapsed, dragged down by the crash of 1929. This was followed by the return from exile of the sons of the great henequen landowners. (along with their capitals). The new policy of "post-revolutionary regime" since 1924, coupled with the persecution of regional socialism in the first five years of 1930, allowed the resumption of post-war reconstruction and economic recovery through the opening of a market for American-made consumer goods. Context where the emergence of commercial broadcasting in the Mexican Gulf-Caribbean is inscribed.
