The contribution of this work is to discuss the debate between governance and networks based on the academic reflections provided by the authors, as well as showing the experiences of some empirical cases. On the one hand, it contributes to the understanding of a part of that complex network of multidimensional, multilevel relations and with the presence of various actors that is commonly called governance. And on the other hand, various case studies of multilevel governance in Central America and the use of the actor network approach in Mercosur, the Pacific Alliance and Mexico are presented. This book is a suggestion and a challenge to advance the analysis and explore the potholes that normative-functional studies of governance present to explore in a more contextual and more actor-focused approach.
