In 1912, when the revolutionary government had just been established, President Francisco I. Madero decided to appoint Justo Sierra, -a man identified by the political class at the time as a representative of the old regime-, Minister Plenipotentiary of Mexico in Spain. Between controversies in public opinion, discouragement due to his misfortune in the Porfirian administration and an old illness that was getting worse, the former Minister of Public Education and Fine Arts left for Spain at the end of April of that year, his spirit revitalized by the many expressions of recognition in each port that passes to peninsular lands. However, his old evil does not leave him and he dies on September 14 in Madrid, leaving the intellectual world with great expectation for his announced participation as a speaker at the Centenary of the Cortes of Cádiz.
