The life of Venezuelans has the need to express itself through the story, a literary genre that allows them to encapsulate reality: live a love story, kill, scream, forget, remember. It will be for this reason that Orlando Araujo's proposal to name Venezuela the "country of stories" makes sense. We need to count ourselves, we need to count. But to know the stories of that need that is so much ours, routes are needed, every country has them. In this anthology, as a portolan, we propose twenty texts by different authors and from different times that we consider good examples of Venezuelan literary work, of that need to tell that is called a story.
