"Sucedió en mi Tierra" is a book that collects brief anecdotes and traditions that take place in several of the regions of our State, made with the purpose of making known the values of our culture. The deep-rooted and firm traditions, which come from the ancestors, are reinforced with family education and are strengthened with instruction and the environment. Ana Rosa's main concern, the reason for the structuring of her book, is the depressing fact that many of the young people who travel abroad have, in the long run, the more or less accentuated tendency to lose their identity, their roots and their sense of belonging: the same can be said of those who stay with us, due to the cultural invasion motivated by globalization that imposes different patterns on our culture.
