The novel by the Caribbean writer Jamaica Kincaid, "A Little Place", serves as the pretext for "Teorizando Desde los Pequeños Lugares". The small places to which we refer are not geographical, despite the fact that they start from a given territoriality, but are above all political, places from which a subjectivity/intersubjectivity is constituted, a historical identity (not substantialist). They are places where the historical background of memory acts in the present as a pedagogical element and as a tool for liberation; as the possibility of thinking about other ways of existing that are not the ones that coloniality tries to impose in its apparently overwhelming display: who are we? Where are we talking from? Thus, the places trace the routes for us to be able to reflect from the coordinates that Fanon delineated when thinking about the damned of the earth. In this book, and trying to generate a symmetrical dialogue from small places or, as others have said, from the global south, we have selected Latino (and) American authors who are thinking about the issues of race, class, discrimination, violence, exclusion or the same ways of thinking or structuring our knowledge. All the authors and authors who intervene in this work, have contributed from their small places to strengthen critical thinking through their writings and their daily practice. exclusion or the same ways of thinking or structuring our knowledge.
