The recent Latin American territoriality, based on the demand for new logics of recomposition of rural and urban territories, and dependent on concrete alterations and changes, has determined the generation of new perspectives and ways of analyzing and projecting the contemporary territory. From a transdisciplinary position, this second volume of the Territorial Transitions collection begins to structure a new discourse that arises from the study of relationships established between society and its environment and the practices that transform it. For this reason, it is presented in two large fields of research: the first deals with the relationship between territorial design, society and the environment; the second focuses on the relationship between territory, culture, heritage and local societies.

From the spatial point of view, the experiences and positions presented by the authors are explained through the articulation between landscape, culture and thought, but also from the worldview, history, heritage and the productive exploitation of the territory. In this sense, territoriality is also a reality that differs according to the subject and, therefore, to the relationship between its forms of organization.
