The book is divided into four parts: the first, entitled "Memory in historiographic work", focuses on the place that memory can and should have in the practical work of the historian. In the second, "Trauma and its role in historical processes." The third part, "The daily life of history and memory", brings together three articles that reflect on memory processes and their relationship with particular spaces and processes. Finally, the fourth part of the book, entitled "Memory Policies in Chile", focuses on the problem that various memory sites face on a daily basis when it comes to socializing their work to educate the general public on these issues.
