This is a critical edition and study of "Nobiliario vero", written by Ferrán Mexía in the 15th century. The study particulary examines the historic text's commentary on nobility and its definition, types, and origins. In order to defend his ideas on the subject, Mexía drew from areas as diverse as history, religion, astronomy, geology, agriculture, and math. José Julio Martín Romero also includes a biographical study about Mexía, and the historical and social contexts within which he wrote.
