Her new book is halfway between the novel and the stories. Peri Rossi boasts of being modern and of being an experimental writer, and with this volume she seems to demonstrate it. It's about finally alone, a love story in fifteen episodes. It is not a novel to use, but a mosaic of short stories that, together, offer a narrative linked by their storyline, not by places, times or characters. The book is structured in three parts, which describe the phases that, according to the author, goes through the love relationship. The first of these is the metetón, which is how in Latin America it is called the fulminating crush that turns man into a victim of his amatory impulses. The second phase of love for Peri Rossi is coexistence, which with its ups and downs can become the grave of feeling. And the last stage, at the end of the book, is the term of the relationship, which can be the rupture or the indefinite continuity. When composing the book, Peri Rossi is guided by her inspiration, by her muse, but she approaches the fact of love "as an entomologist who studies the behavior of animals"
